Whoa! I leave for a few years and things go to pot. (Oh wait--that's here in Florida.) You'll be fine in HS.
The freshmen are just older 6th graders. Sophomores and Juniors have identity issues like 7th graders, and Seniors--well they eventually learn that they don't really know anything. (At least at the end of the year when they start realizing that their official school life is over and they get scared.)
Oh, this sounds just dandy! Why don't you come back to Abilene, oh, wait, we're laying off librarians...:( One of these years we'll be driving out to Florida again...has to be in the fall or winter though! LOL!
