URGENT--PRAYER NEEDED!

David Corey, one of the Technology Specialists at a local high school here in Tampa, contracted Swine Flu a few weeks ago and ended up in ICU at Brandon Hospital. Due to his large size, he was unable to breathe on his own, so the doctors induced a coma to help him rest while he battled the flu. Unfortunately, we didn’t have all of the information and things were much worse than what we were told. Apparently, David started coming out of the coma and ripped the IVs and tubes out before slipping back into a coma. The doctors have told his wife that he will probably never recover and come out of the coma—that he would be in a vegetative state for the rest of his life and require permanent care.

Please pray for David and his wife. David is one of the most generous and helpful men that you will ever meet. He is always willing to help out our school when we had technical questions, and in turn we were able to help him at his school when he needed input. Please pray that David comes out of the coma and gains full recovery.

Pray for his wife. I can only imagine the anguish and pain she must be suffering at hearing that her husband is “gone.” Pray that she has a loving support system and is able to make the decisions that are needed for their situation.

I’m sure there are other prayers that are needed right now for both of them, but if you could pray for them and pass this information along to others in your prayer chains, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you!!!

How is David? Any news? How is his wife holding up?

They have been on my mind and heart ever since your post!

Unfortunately, Dave passed away this morning. Please pray for his wife and child in this trying time for them. It is really sad to lose such a great guy. He was truly a gentleman in every sense of the word. He will be missed. May God bless his soul.
