FINAL UPDATE ON DAVID

Thank you all for keeping David in your prayers. Our prayers were not answered in the way I had hoped, as David passed away tonight. Please continue to pray for his wife Melissa. I know she's heart-broken. Thank you again for your prayers!

UPDATE ON DAVID

A few days ago I posted about my friend David that was in a coma and the doctors said that he may never come out of it, or he will remain in a vegetative state for the rest of his life. David is only 39 years old and is now being moved to an Assisted Living Facility in the Town-n-Country area of Tampa because he is still unresponsive and can no longer stay in the ICU. (It's about an hour and a half commute in traffic for his wife each day from Brandon.)

My friend Mary, the one who gave up her job so that I could keep mine, is the one who has been in contact with David's wife and keeping me updated. His wife is not doing well at all--now being the person who must be the bread-winner and care-giver in the family, plus visit him when he's so far away. (Mary is also at a loss because David was her go-to person for the tech help she needed since this is her first year as a tech person.)

Please continue to keep them both in your prayers. I know she's completely at wit's end just trying to come to terms with this change in her life--not knowing when/if David will ever "wake up." Please keep David in your prayers as well. I know our God is a big and mighty God who is able to create miracles in our lives and heal the sick. Pray for David and his family to receive an abundance of miracles. Thank you!

URGENT--PRAYER NEEDED!

David Corey, one of the Technology Specialists at a local high school here in Tampa, contracted Swine Flu a few weeks ago and ended up in ICU at Brandon Hospital. Due to his large size, he was unable to breathe on his own, so the doctors induced a coma to help him rest while he battled the flu. Unfortunately, we didn’t have all of the information and things were much worse than what we were told. Apparently, David started coming out of the coma and ripped the IVs and tubes out before slipping back into a coma. The doctors have told his wife that he will probably never recover and come out of the coma—that he would be in a vegetative state for the rest of his life and require permanent care.

Please pray for David and his wife. David is one of the most generous and helpful men that you will ever meet. He is always willing to help out our school when we had technical questions, and in turn we were able to help him at his school when he needed input. Please pray that David comes out of the coma and gains full recovery.

Pray for his wife. I can only imagine the anguish and pain she must be suffering at hearing that her husband is “gone.” Pray that she has a loving support system and is able to make the decisions that are needed for their situation.

I’m sure there are other prayers that are needed right now for both of them, but if you could pray for them and pass this information along to others in your prayer chains, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you!!!
