AND NOW...THE FIRST CHAPTER: Just press the button!
Dynamic Uno here: Spring Break is just around the corner and the Carter House Girls are going to Palm Beach, Florida for their vacation! Although Mrs. Carter reminds them that it will be a "working vacation" since they will need to model a new fashion designer's swimwear line while they are there, the girls are excited about getting the chance to have some fun in the sun while they're there. After meeting a charming college student from Princeton on the plane, they arrive at the general's Palm Beach house and the girls quickly choose their rooms. Eliza and Casey decide to room together--which is definitely a new development, so Taylor and DJ room up, leaving Rhiannon to have a room all to herself. After a day of exploring Palm Beach, the boys arrive at Lane's grandparent's house and things quickly turn to chaos. Lane decides to break-up with Eliza because of some of her selfish decisions and things go quickly from bad to worse. Eliza sneaks off on a mysterious date and doesn't return to the house. Has she gone off to pout for a few days, holing herself up in a five-star hotel, or has something more serious happened to the heiress? You'll have to read Spring Breakdown (Carter House Girls #7) by Melody Carlson to find out!
I must admit, I've been looking forward to reading more about the girls in the Carter House Girls series because I feel like I know the characters so well. Mainly because I work with teenagers, but also because the characters are so well written, that I've been engrossed in their lives since they arrived at Mrs. Carter's house. Since their Senior year is close to an end, I'm sure that the series will reach it's end as well, but I'm glad that there's a few more books before that happens. Let me know what you think of Spring Breakdown by Melody Carlson. Happy Reading!
