Thank you for all of your well-wishes last week. The stomache bug finally ran its course and it's now (hopefully) gone for good. I finished Firethorn by Ronie Kendig, last week and I must admit that it made me cry. I can't tell you why because it would give away part of the storyline. Suffice it to say, it was a good closing to an excellent series about our forgotten war heroes.
Now, I'm reading a book that I picked up from the Women of Faith Conference. (Yes, I still need to write my wrap-up post. It's coming, I promise.) It's called What Women Fear: Walking in Faith that Transforms by Angie Smith. As many of you know, I'm not a huge non-fiction fan, but I bought this book because the title resonated within me as I was perusing the tables at the event. I wouldn't qualify myself as a person who is fearful, but there have been many times in my life where I have taken the "easy" way because I've been afraid to do the work for the results I really wanted. It's going to take me a little while to read through this book because I want to savor the little nuggets of wisdom throughout. What are you reading?
